It is interesting how things all work out- if I hadn’t been diagnosed with diabetes while in college, my life would have taken a completely different course. I have to say, my experiences with diabetic expeditions, including one to Aconcagua in 2000 and one to Pik Lenin in 2005 have had a big influence on my photography career. These experiences have also shaped me as a person. They have taught me a lot about humility, compassion, and problem solving- all things that serve me in my chosen profession and life.
