So, I resisted.
I went on a weekend-long hut trip without my camera.
What I couldn’t resist was snatching up someone else’s camera and snapping away. This goes along with my belief that good story-telling has much more to do with the art of telling it than the gear with which it is captured. It was such a beautiful, refreshing weekend. These are really the moments that feed my soul and make me who I am.
Fresh fallen snow, total solitude- no computers, phones, televisions, facebook, or any of the other hundreds of things that distract us from being present in the moment. I am so grateful to have had this time with my family AND, it happened to be my birthday and Easter. So… there was plenty of celebrating. You will see where I get some of my adventurous spirit when you see my parents barreling down the sledding hill!
