Getting married…

Just Married Car with Fall Foliage

So, that’s as good an excuse as any for a wedding photographer to neglect her blog, isn’t it!?!

The only problem is that the beautiful fall turned into winter and I see that I haven’t blogged… in months! But, being a New Year, I get a new chance and am looking forward to sharing more of the beautiful couples I worked with in 2010 and get caught back up before 2011 gets into full swing. Getting married is… well, a lot of work! I have a whole new appreciation for what it takes to plan a wedding. It was so much fun, and I couldn’t have asked for better people to work with. Over the next few weeks I will share some of the amazing vendors who made our wedding perfect.

To begin with, the photographer… Upon hearing about our engagement the most common first question was, “Who is going to photograph your wedding?”  Although I know a lot of very talented photographers, there was no other option than two of my dearest friends, Joe and Kristi. After attending photography school together at the Brooks Institute of Photography, in California, we moved back to our respective hometowns and went to work on our businesses.  Starting and owning your own business is not an easy task and I can honestly say that I would not be where I am today without Kristi of the one and only, Kristi Lloyd Photography. Here are some of Joe and Kristi’s amazing images from our wedding and a sneak peek into the location,  planning and details. Stay tuned for more…
